Seriously.. i can’t get enough of board games… I really really tempted to buy War of the Ring Expansion : Battle of the Third Age!!! Plus, FFG will raise the MSRP rate per 1 Nov 2008, so i have to buy it immediately!!

The expansion will include Ent’s armies, Galadriel, Balrog, and elite Ring Wraith (they are just event cards in the original War of The Ring). And also, there are new “mini” scenarios for Rohan’s Battle (Helms Deep) and Gondor’s Battle (Minas Tirith)!! So i still can play it if i only had a little time…

Wait for the next post guys, it will be all about the expansion!

Finally i got the chance to try this game. I read, learned the rule, and playtested it yesterday with Meirza.   The session was brutally exhausting. We got dizzy and tired after reading, playing, and debating for the whole approx. 8 hours. But our effort was finally paid off with the beautiful Lord of the Ring’s scenario that immensely deep.

My favourite part was the Fellowship!!! The designer’s create such smart method for the Ring Bearer’s movement!! I love the concept of the hidden ring bearer but also can be revealed by Sauron, and they can get corrupted by the ring’s influence! It’s EXTREMELY cool! And if all the Companions (aragorn, gandalf etc) departed form the ring bearer, they still had guidance from Gollum (Gollum’s Character activated)!  i only could get frodo and sam near Lorien till the end of the far-from-finish game. It’s not an easy task you know!

So my conclusion is, War of the Ring reflects the story and characters of Lord of the Ring PERFECTLY! To All of you LOTR fans, this game is absolutely A MUST!

I don’t know why i’m doing this… Yep, a 3 columns theme.. I feel like i want to do some experiments today, starting with changing my blog’s theme.. Oh, have I told you that my War of the Ring has arrived? Yeees haw haw haw…. Sorry for Shear Panic, Bohnanza, and my other collection.. Seems like I won’t play all of you this month

Phew.. finally I can write something on this blog again. This time I will tell you updates of my persian cat, Poy poy!

He’s getting FAT.. I think it’s because recently, he always manage to finish all the dry food. Well, I used to mix dry and wet food for a very long time. Then, since he moved to Bandung, my sister and I taught him to eat the dry food, alone. And now he loves it! And he’s gaining weight. Last time i checked, his weight was 5 kilograms.

Luckily he didn’t manage to fit his body in the latrine while he was trying to throw all the digested food drink the toilet water.

“Oh noooo, i’m caught in the act!!! stop taking my pictures!!”

Now i feed him with Royal Canin Light that claims to reduce risks of weight gain, exclusively. Oh really hope he’s back to his normal weight. I don’t want him to be overweight nor obese….

I purchased Blue Moon on Hobbies & Toys Fair, Bandung, 4th of July 2008. No, it’s not some sex pills. It’s a board game! I also bought 2 of its expansion which are MIMIX, the fierce amazon ladies (boys, beware) and FLIT, the bird-man.

I already played several times with my boyfriend and it was surely FUN! The seller said it was similar with Magic: The Gathering. But Blue Moon is not a CCG (collectible card game) because the cards were fixed not random.  Like on Mimix, there are 31 cards, 1 leader, 27 mimix card, and 3 from other tribe. I will post more about Blue Moon later.. c u!
