The Cover
Ticket to Ride is one of my favorite modern board games. I bought it on February 2008 at Indofungames, one of few online board games store here in Indonesia. It consists of :

The pieces
and the people (2-5 players), not included in the game itself.
I played Ticket to Ride in my apartment with my friends Arya, Vicky, Rindhu, and Dedex (he was on the phone making excuses with someone (maybe his girl?), by the time this picture was taken).
Dede was a newcomer. A newbie. So Arya and I explained the rules first. We did the “gambreng”, then vicky and I did “suit” to determine which one of us went first. The first turn was Vicky, then me, Rindhu, Arya, and Dedex. The game pace went pretty fast. Rindhu, Vicky and Dede were busy claiming train routes while Arya and I collected train cards. Arya panicked a little when his routes become unavailable, blocked by Rindhu and Vicky’s train. My destinations were peaceful towns, nobody would block my routes. So I kept collecting train cards. A LOT of cards on my hand.
Suddenly, Arya said “Hey, I bet this is Dede’s route. Block it! Block it!”. Vicky and I blocked the route on the next turn, so Dede had to go around to
connect his towns. poor Dede, sorry, but we made no discrimination with newbies! hahaha
I was the winner (off course..) with the score 120 something. Surprisingly, Rindhu was the last, and Dede was the third. Vicky and Arya on position 2 and 4.
Ticket to Ride is a very nice, great family game. But it can turn into nasty,backstabbing,
fun game with the right people! No wonder it won a 2004 Spiels de Jahre Award. You should try it!

ni, tampang gw kaya bengep gitu si, hehehe btw jadi ga jadi kuliner deh, ujan sih..
duh kuliner aja ga jadi, apalagi nyie..hahaha..kapan2 main lagi ya ni..

segitu banyaknya boardgames yang ada d sidebar kanan, aku cuman tau Scrabble (*kampungan nih

skarang boardgames mah banyak pisan jenisnya.. dulu gw juga cuma taunya scrabble, monopoly, clue, ludo, halma, etc. mungkin upik tau monopoly cuma lupa nyebut kali zak :p
